This webinar expands on “Trauma-Informed Approaches for LGBQT* Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence: A Set of Practice Observations” and offers practical guidance for providing trauma responsive services to Two-Spirit, Gender Non-Conforming and LGB survivors of partner abuse. This webinar begins with Two-Spirit peoples’ resilience in the face of historical and ongoing trauma, explores Native frameworks for supporting Two-Spirit peoples, and discusses how these frameworks might serve as a broader structure for supporting GNC and LGB survivors more broadly. In addition, the facilitators discuss how to promote intercultural conversations without replicating the harms of cultural appropriation. Finally, practical guidance is offered regarding serving Two-Spirit, GNC, and LGB-identified survivors of partner abuse.

*This document honors the practice of including an asterisk after the “T” to signify the broad diversity of trans communities, including gender non-conforming and non-binary individuals amongst others.
